Text description provided by the architects. When we started to think about building our new headquarters in a sustainable way, we think about the basic elements as light, interior air quality, water and comfort to create a space not only efficient in energy consumption, but in a work place healthier for our 90 employees, suppliers and customers.
This project is part of the pioneering construction group in Colombia to be registered for LEED certification in sustainable design and construction in the country.
LEES is a system to certify the design, construction and the operation of buildings environmentally sustainable. It is based on a scoring system that includes different criteria such as energy efficiency, water use, materials used, impact on the environment and environmental indoor quality.
The project is located in the city of Bogota in the Cra. 14 No. 98 – 51 in the AeI building constructed on a previously developed urban lot. The offices occupy about 1000 square feet on floors 2 and 3 of the building and were designed and built by the same company. The building was also designed by AeI and built by CURE Architects.
The offices consist of a reception, open office, private offices for the management of the company, meeting rooms, thinking room, library and sample room, computer center, copy center, bathrooms and terrace cafeteria.
